After Christmas Travels

Image
We visited our ATC friends that we met last year at about the same time. Weather has been cold, cloudy and sometimes rainy. Despite the weather we have had a good time in Seagrove Beach catching up with Rhoda and David. Rhoda has published the book she was writing last year. We are looking forward to reading our copy. It is titled Inside Maharishi's Ashram A Personal Story by Rhoda Orme-Johnson. She and her husband are devotees of Transcendental Meditation. We spent very little time at Seagrove Beach and in the other areas nearby due to weather but we took a few photos.

Cathleen and Tully Born December 6th We left our home in Blue Mountains on December 15th. Our first stop was Kitchener- a simple 2 hour drive. We spent several days with Jason and his family and also visited my sister Pat and many old friends at a lovely dinner party. We visited our newest grandson, Tully. Cathleen and Dan are the proud and tired parents. Then on the 18th we headed for State College, Pennsylvania to visit Maggie and her family. We had such a good time with our grandchildren when we took them Christmas shopping. On the 20th we drove to Dave's house in Florence, South Carolina. Each day was warmer than the day before and we were looking forward to Spring like temperatures. Robyn made a wonderful Christmas dinner - turkey with all the trimmings. Matt really enjoyed it. He also enjoyed Christmas shopping online. We left for Ocala, Florida to spend Christmas with my brother Don and his wife Jorja. Too bad Jorja was struggling with a cold but we had a nice tim...

We left Florida and had a long drive west to Louisiana to stay with another ATC couple, Marcel and Cheryl. They have been so welcoming to us. We went out for dinner when we arrived at Shucks. /the next night Cheryl made a delicious crawfish etouffee . We had spent the day at Avery Island. This is where they make McIlhenny Tabasco Sauce. It was very interesting successful company. Even the Queen likes it! Bamboo Barrels of pepper mash with salt covers .
